I've been a Realtor for over 5 years, and mixed in with a 20+ year career as a Bank Financial Analyst, I've had several jobs in construction/renovation, facility operation, etc. I've also gained experience as a homeowner for over 20 years, and helping friends and family around their homes.
After serving as the Agent in the sale of my parents' luxury home, AND being their "hands" in all the things involved in getting the home they had lived in 23 years ready to sell, I realized there is a gap in the realtor business. There was no "one-stop-shop" for people to have an integrated process of deciding what SHOULD get done, getting it done, and getting the home sold for the best result. Sure, many agents will tell you "do this, this and that, and we'll put your house on the market at $XXX" and give you a few names. But then you're on your own to deal with that! In most cases, the home just needs a volume of work - nothing too specialized: De-clutter, wall seam touch ups and paint, replace a few fixtures, some curb appeal improvements... the list can be endless. I do most of the things that are too small to bring in a specialist, and also can provide you with names and ideas if you should need specialty work. All while providing you a managed, integrated timeline of how the work progresses and when your home goes on market.
What drives me?
I do not believe we are put here to take, or to accumulate stuff. Our legacies are defined by the relationships we form, and the help we give to others. My most important legacy is the example I set for my own children. When I went to my first real estate license course, at the Bedford Metropolitan office, there on the wall was "WI4C2TS". That shorthand for the Keller Williams belief system begins with Win-Win. or no deal. Followed by Integrity. In short, if the deal is wrong in any way, it's not the kind of business KW, or I, choose to take on. You can easily look up the rest of the belief system, or I'll tell you. That belief system, and the genuine positive outlook of the people here, are why I decided to work with KW Metropolitan instead of any other agency.
Professional History:I am experienced dealing with complex situations. My previous career was in management consulting to banks, mostly with a nationally recognized Interest Rate Risk Management firm. Over the past 20+ years, I have built holdings portfolio models; advised senior bank management on projected income streams and techniques to mitigate the risks inherent in them; created studies to estimate customer behavior; implemented institutional investment portfolio management reporting software; advised clients on Dodd Frank Act compliance; and created other business solutions. All that analysis aside, I think the most relevant experience from that career was in reporting to senior bank executives and in tactfully but responsibly dealing with sensitive issues. The person who initially thought my company and I were a threat to their job, usually ended up as our greatest champion. It begins with attitude and client education. I am here to HELP, and I'd much rather "teach you to fish", than just "give you a fish".
